This project focused on decorating a private residence for two young professionals in Boulder, Colorado. Primary areas of focus included the guest suite, dining room, office, and a private bedroom.
The guest suite, located at the top of the house, features exposed wood ceilings and expansive views of the Rocky Mountains. The design emphasized warmth and comfort, using a palette inspired by the surrounding landscape. Vintage sculptural wood lamps—including a cypress tree form and a carved tree stump—anchor the space, complemented by Western artwork and Southwestern textiles that add texture and pattern.
The office design reflects both residents’ careers in technology. Vintage radios and early electronic devices were displayed within built-in shelving using a deliberate checkerboard composition that alternates objects, books, and negative space. This approach balances visual rhythm with restraint, transforming functional storage into a curated focal point.
